The Andrea Seaside Restaurant and Beach Bar started many summers ago in 1912, as a quaint bed and breakfast. After the Hurricane of 1938, it was one of 4 buildings left standing in Pleasant View (the original name of Misquamicut Beach). Once the Great Nor'easter of 1944 hit, the original owners wanted out. Ralph Colucci, Sr. purchased the property in 1946. The Colucci family still owns the property and is in their 4th generation of management.
The Andrea has suffered damage from multiple hurricanes and nor'easters throughout the years. Hurricane Sandy in 2012 was the final blow for The Andrea Hotel. The building was damaged too much for repair and the Colucci Family made the heartbreaking decision to tear her down. The Colucci Family saved the fireplace and moved it to its current location on the outside patio.
The Andrea Seaside Restaurant and Beach Bar was resurrected from the debris. The Colucci Family is still welcoming customers to the beach for delicious food, refreshing cocktails, and spectacular ocean views - You just can’t stay the night.
The Andrea is open seasonally May through October.
